Had an all niter yesterday. Stayed up till 5am to complete the first draft of my dissertation. I nearly went crazy trying to find all my references. Went tru every book, every paper, every page that i ever had my hands on juz to confirm if i was referencing everything properly. yes i've reached my 12,000 word limit .. to think it was impossible initially. lolz~

And today, since the rest are going for the first f&b concept, had dinner with the Gohs in Pilatus. Cereal prawns and beef rendang .. yummy. den after that had after dinner movies - Happy Feet and Anastasia ... im in love with Dimitri all over again. hahaha~ Halfway tru the show, i realised that the Gohs had fallen soundly asleep.
Will be eating the same menu again tmr .. waha~

Anyhoos, busy days up ahead. Other than PDP, there's the events indv essay to do. All this within a week to complete. And then back to editting for my final disseratation submission and before the 10m dash to the finishing line.

It wasnt my cup of tea. Tried it for the sake of trying and as much as i tried to have fun, im not sure i did. It's juz the whole environment. Call me boring but i thank god im not into it. For one, i dont find the purpose or benefit it brings. It only creates trouble and u might end up doing things u'll regret.

As i expose myself to the world beyond my comfort zone, i pray that my faith will always be kept strong. It helps define whom am i and the boundaries that is set. Sticking to that boundaries doesnt restrict me but protect me instead. And i thank god for that.

This sudden reflection really made me think how much i should be thankful for. Im glad i was bought up in a family where i learn the importance of faith and understanding that i can do anything and everything that im capable of but to always remember that god is always there watching, helping and guiding.

Nowadays, more often than not i find myself staying in my room the whole day. Im getting accustomed to juz slack in my oh-so-comfortable room with all kinds of snacks within my reach. waha~

this is where i stay ..

Anyhoos, i try not to think bout it but my roomie is not helping!! thxs arh babe. haha .. yes only 3 weeks of school left to study week. As much im looking forward to end it all but at the same time im dreading the tout of finally ending sch life.

Currently, im going crazy finding all my references that i used for my dissertation. Yes im done with all chapters!!! wrote near to 11,000 words!!! im impressed with myself. waha~ but it's not the end. I yet to get back my chap 4 (which i hand it in more than a week ago!) to edit and to proof-read everything and make sure there's no plagiarism.

On a separate note, i think im mastering the skill of beating round the bush'. Not exactly proud of it but it's a skill necessary in this thing called life. I wont lie but only say what is sufficiently needed. And my reason for doin so is to protect the ppl i care for ..

my revised to-do list:
-PDP reflective report
-events individual essay
-complete dissertation 1st draft
-study for german 2nd written test
after all the above are done:
-study for exams: tourism mgt, marketing mgt and german

note to self:
u can do it asy~ .. u've been tru worst. juz this final lap and it'll be soon over.

international night coming friday. im still contemplating shd i wear my kebaya. haha

I nearly went crazy trying to finish up the events project plan. Seems to me this is harder than the previous MM project. We're so clueless lahh .. hopefully wat we did is adequately sufficient to earn ourselves an A. *cross fingers
Im reali gona miss my this events group. Shirine and Utsav was so sweet lah. They kno im not going to sch today coz i wanted to stay in Pilatus to finish compiling the report. So they came over to Pilatus from 2pm till 11.40pm to complete everything tog! so touched ..

I can finally sleep without waking up every half an hour worrying bout wasting my time sleeping instead of doing the project. But i forsee this happening again as the due date of our dissertation gets closer. But for now let me enjoy sleeping even if it's only half the day. waha~ miss such luxury. haa~

AND ...

it's confirmed!!
Im going back home to Singapore on the 21st June 2008 at 10.05pm (swiss time)
SO ... i will reach Singapore Changi Airport at 4.10pm (spore time) on the 22nd June 2008!!!

I hate the feeling of knowing that im pissing ppl off. But hey .. u cant always please everyone. They can either contd hating me for doin so or forgive me in the end. And not that im making excuses but i wasnt myself wen it happened. haa~

Chapter 4 finally done. but not sure if im doing it right. Now im stressed over events report. totally lost~ haix

Anyhoos, german excursion ard banholf tmr .. waha~ i find this super funnie. Still, better than being stuck in the classroom for 4hrs of torture. haha~

AND .. can u believe there's only a mth of sch left!!! and there's still endless stuff to do! ohwells~ life of a student huh. and im so gona miss it once 6th july come. haha ..

Been stuck in H.Pilatus the whole day. Initially wanted to drop by the sch to the library to check out the dissertation that i borrowed but after analyzing my other impt stuffs to do, i decide not to. haa~ And so, on things to do list:

-events project plan
-dissertation chap 2 & 5
-PDP reflective report
-events individual essay
-read marketing textbook for tmr lesson
-german hw

But all i want to do now is sleep. hahaha~

I was ecstatic as soon as i saw the subject of the email. Even before i open the document i was already covering my mouth to constrain myself from screaming. the first person that pop in my mind that i should tell was mummy dearest. haha~ She was the one who encourage me to go for it, to seek the opportunity to get a job overseas and i believe her prayers was one of the factors that got me in. Amin~

To cut things short, i was offered a full time job at Tiara Hotels and Resorts in Dubai as a Guest Relations Executive. I'll be starting work on the 6th July and so ... i be first flying back to Spore by the 25th June. So attention frens who dearly miss me .. if you wana meet up with me before i disappear again for a year (i can only fly back yearly once i start work), book me now! i will be flying to Dubai most probably on the 4th July. So in between the days, i shall fit as many ppl as possible in my schedule not forgetting eating all the yummy foodies i've been missing so much. haha~

As scary as it is to set off away from family and frens once again and longer this time, im anticipating the prospect of gaining experience from working in a newly build luxurious hotel.

And as i look back at my aspirations which i've written down a long time ago, it seems that slowly things are falling into place. Still the uncertainty factor lies ahead but insyallah the path that im heading towards is where my belief and faith be kept strong.

Back to reality. Back to the world of dissertation-taking-over-ur-life. And so my spring break update:

KONSTANZ~

Finally met my aunt who lives in Germany after years. As much as i was excited to the tout of travelling there once again but i was afraid that i might be abit uncomfortable and awkward. Luckily though it was a last minute invitation, im glad that mich agreed to go. Most of the time we would slack at her home to watch movies, take long afternoon naps, sing karaoke till 2am, walk around the old town and bought a super nice crumpler bag for only 25euros = S$50!! cheapcheap!! and it's original btw. waha~ the best buy so far. hee~ had traditional german dinner, super nice easter brunch and i got an easter basket for the first time!! hee~

BARCELONA~

A trip which i initially was unsure why i actually decided to go but im glad i did so despite things that happened throughout. Juz to get there really exhausted us tremendously with all the changing of the different transportation - frm bus to train to bus to plane to bus to train. There was no itinerary planned like wat we did for Paris. Instead it's the 'spurofthemoment' decisions on what we wana do and where we wana go. That explains why we always get lost for hours. haha~

Highlight of the trip
-Climbing 5 story of stairs to Pension Bahia (our hostel) which was barely unlivable
-Gordon banging into a lampost
-Leaving Gordon to shop as we go for 3 hours of cycling tour
-Walking and walking and walking coz we got lost for 1 1/2hr to find a magic fountain (in the end we still didnt find it .. haha)
-Got separated with the guys in the Metro
-The extremely fateful incident
-Allergic reaction

These are only the tip of the iceberg .. =P

OTHER SHORT TRIPS~

Mt.Titlis
Followed Mich there coz she wana distribute her survey. And Pat followed us coz she had nthing better to do. hee~ Tout of snowboarding since we're there but it started to snow super heavily. Mayb next time ..

Zurich
This time followed Brainy for her dissertation interview at Park Hyatt. The hotel was extremely classy. While waiting, i managed to read a bit for my dissertation chap 2. haha~ Den we got lost at another side of Zurich. The worst thing it snowed heavily and the the strong cold wind doesnt help. Finally managed to meet up with KX and Norman and we head down to Singapore Restaurant for lunch. A set of meal cost nearly CHF20 which we can easily get for less than S$5!! ohwells~



And so .. my spring break was filled with going everywhere except trying to complete my dissertation. So enuf of fun and lets start chiong-ing ..

Konstanz was a relaxing trip and Barcelona was a trip i will not forget anytime soon or ever. Updates will be made soon. For now, i gota chiong my dissertation. Im far far behind.
