Went for Hari Raya with some of my secondary school mate. To sum up, the whole thing was quite disasterous. I think we picked the wrong day to go out together. Not only did it rained today but also, a lot of our schoolmates whom we wanted to visit were either not at home or that they are going to go out. So after visiting each other houses, we were out of place to go. Futurmore, we onli met the guys after two due to the friday prayers. Even so after dat, we were all wasting time deciding where to go. And after calling soooo many places and none that we can go to, we finally went back to one of my fren hse again. There, we then called it a day rite before we ordered pizza since we were all soooo famished. I reached home about 8.40pm. The shortest Hari Raya visiting i've ever been to. Hahaha ...

Had the mini HTM orientation today. It whereby the mentors get to meet some of their mentees that have arrived in Singapore and mingle with them. AND ... surprise surprise .... i dont have any. 'sob sob' b'coz my mentees have yet to arrive in S'pore or it's juz that im juz an extra mentor. Ahahz ... So while waiting to meet my mentors on the 10th december, juz now had to take care of one of Kai mentee since he didnt come. Mix about with some other mentees too and they are a great bunch of people. They are more better than the Intenational students frm the ISO orientation. They converse better english and are easier to talk with. So, this indicates that Hospi & Tourism students rocks!!!! WooHoo!!!

Rite now, althea is forcing me to go to the dinner and dance that is organised by the Singapore Chef Association. Im having doubts whether the food that they'll serve is halal or not. So untill the SCA ppl whom i e-mail bout this replies, im not sure whether to go or not.

In my other entry, i wrote that im gonna watch the Incredibles with my sibling on friday rite, but then, had to cancel the plan since im going out to go Hari raya with my secondary school classmates. Maybe will watch it on Saturday ... this time, a MUST WATCH!! can't postpone it any longer. Did this to shark tale and look wat it done .... didnt get to watch it! BOOHOO!!!! 'crying' Enough crying and so now, gonna go to bed and dream of the nicest things. But now, wanna go find something to eat. Toodles.

Was really tired the whole day. Who wouldn't after 2 days straight going out for house visiting frm 12 -10 pm and eating at every house! Haha ... still i enjoyed it espacially with one of my favourite cuz being with me on the second day of it.
So for the whole day today, watched some of the tv programmes i've taped that is yet to watch. One of it was the new season of Amazing Race that was aired last wednesday. Every season of the show never failed to interest me. Im so envious of the contestant for being able to travel round the world. How i wish someone would sponser me to travel. Haha ... keep dreaming asy. Anyway, i finally was able to watch final destination 2. I know that u must be like thinking 'what took her soooo long to watch that!' Well, cant help it. Everyone i've asked doesn't seem to have the VCD and my mum at long last just subscribe to cable tv a few days ago.
i too juz watched monster inc today. Hahahaha ... Well, my sis juz brought the VCD and the movie was incredible. Speaking of incredible, im gonna watch the incredibles with my siblings this coming friday ... woohoo!

One of my fren illegally check for me my timetable for the coming semester and im in class 06 ... and ... i got psychology for my CDS subject. YAY!!!! Im also in the same class as LiMei (she was my sec sch fren frm sce 1 to 5) YAY!!! somehow, i feel that school's gonna be great when it reopens. =)

Taufiq got in the finals!!! WooHoo!!! SO everyone, vote for him this coming 1'st december ya. To sly, dont know why the hell the ppl vote for ya but nonetheless, good luck! Go Taufiq!!!!

Last friday was finally the dae - the ISO orientation. Had to say that i had a great time mentoring but at the same time find it really difficult due to language differences. Most of them do not really know how to speak English and when i tried speaking to them eventhough as slowly as possible, they look at me as though i was talking an alien language! Makes me wonder how did they get to study in Singapore .... hmmmm ....
These international students do not know the meaning of team work. When we played the station games, the were like a bit i do my way u do urs ... something like dat. But soon enough they do know a rough idea of it. However, gotta give em' credit for being enthusiastic in trying and doing wat is being told. A great bunch of peeps were my group but shd they understand english a bit more, it would have been much much much better.

And if u read Berita Harian that day, u shd hav seen mua face on the front page. Great, publicity that i dont really need. Not something to be proud of and to brag about. Haiz. But dont look at me a different way if u read it. Im still the same old asy except that this time u know a bit of my secret. Shhhhh

For today, went our for Hari Raya with my family, Mak Long and Cik Jo family. We rented a bus to go for house visiting. Really covered a lot of places today and also collected a lot of green packets. hahaha. Will continue our house visiting again tomorrow. I think this time we gonna cover the North part of S'pore. So rite now gonna get some shut eye or else wont be able to wake up in time! Toodles ... =)

It's already the third day of hari raya. Somehow, ever since 7 years ago, i felt that during the month of shawal there's nothing really to celebrate about. Only that it is to celebrate the victory of being able to complete a whole month of fasting during the month of Ramadan and that Hari Raya is the time for you ask for forgiveness .... blah blah blah. Maybe it's just me. My problematic attitude. I dont know. There's just this feeling of being lost and empty inside. Though i may look happy and cheerful when out to celebrate Hari Raya but then this other feeling just comes to stay. Not that i never tried. I'm too exhausted of trying so hard. Sometimes when i heard people saying how great their family are preparing for this festive season to come during malam Raya, i really do wonder how they do it. My family may be big but it's somehow small. Really very small. Maybe the happiness and the joyfulness and greatness of Syawal went off together with dad and there's no way that i could reclaim it back. =( Anyway, wont concentrate on such stuff. May Allah shines light and help guide me in every step of the way. Amin

First day of Hari Raya : We set off as soon as we finish our asar prayers. My 3rd bro didn't follow us since it was his second day of work. Went to Nenek Besar house first and met a cute little girl, 3 yrs old, by the name of Asyurah. Hahaha ... She was really very adorable ... Just like me 'gRinS' Then after that went to Tok Ngah house followed by his daughter's house and his another son's house. We intended to go to 2 more houses nearby Bedok but no one was home. The sad thing was, we were not able to eat any ketupat. Usually we always eat ketupat on the first day of raya at the first house we go to which is my grandma's. But she and my grandfather went of to Mecca and will only return on the 16th! We reach home about 12+am


the lil girl whose name is also Asyurah. Looks like me huh .. ahahz

Second day : This time we set off earlier - after our Zuhur prayers. Again my 3rd bro didn't follow and now my elder sis also because she wasn't feeling well. Maybe due to too much gassy drinks. Heez. Our first house was in MacPherson and so we continued on our house visiting all around there. Still, no ketupat to eat. BooHoo ... Reach home about 11+pm.

Third day (today) : My granny and grandpa will be coming home from Mecca today. YaY!!! At first though of fetching them from the airport but then, i accidentally woke up late so by the time we were ready, my grandparents were already at the arrival hall. So i change to my baju kurung to go house visiting to my grandparents which is also my aunt's house. There, we get to eat ketupat. YumYum. I just love all the gravy that comes with eating ketupat. The rendang and everything. Espacially if it's cooked by my grandma and aunt. Hehe. But we didn't stay too long. After zuhur, we headed back as my mum had to go out and me, i need sleep. haha. So for the rest of the afternoon, slept all the way and didn't manage to clean the house. Will do it tomorrow. AHAHZ.

Well, that's a short summary of my Hari Raya visiting. My family and my eldest aunt family will be renting a van for this coming Saturday and Sunday to go for more house visiting. YaY ... more money gonna roll in ... finally. HAHAHAHA

Oh ya ... u shd know the channel 8 weekday 9pm show - the Champion. Hopefully Kaiwei will pick JingWen .... hahaha =) and may Olinda and Taufiq be in the final two of SI .... Toodles

The training continues ... and juz like i expected the day today was more exhausting than yesterday. Arrived at about 9.45am and soon the activities gonna start. Well, sort of. Firstly, there was this long long talk, it was time for lunch. YupYup i repeat ... lunch! Once again, there i was sitting while watching others eat. But no biggie ... i wasn't tempted. Nopez =) Anyway, it's only a few days of fasting to go. A sad thing actually. But every good thing have to come to an end. No worries ... the month of Ramadan will come again.

Then after lunch, we once again practised the mass dance to ensure everyone really truly knows every single step of it. Also we did the chicky dance and friendship dance too. By the time all the dances were repeated a few times, i was quite exhaused already. Soon after, we proceded to the other 7 games that are to be played. All of em' were really interesting. But by the 8th game i was really so weak and it was nearly 4pm. Soon, before we know it, we were back to the LT for some air-con ... YaY!! Finally, after all the last brief through of everything for the coming 19th it was time for home. Home sweet home. Will be looking forward for the day to come.

Now for tomorrow's agenda, clean the house and clean some more and .... back some cookiezzzzz .... Woohoo!! So gonna go watch Shrek 2 and Mulan with my sis. Toodles!

The ISO mentor thingy training was today. Started about 9am and ended at 3++pm. Had to admit in the first place i was questioning maself what have i got myself into. Suddenly seems to regret joining and felt that i was wasting my time. Dont ask me why i felt that way. But it was a feeling that came and go in a split second. Maybe it was because i was way tired that morning since i just recovered from a high fever and flu ... 'sTiLL tHinKinG' ...
Had fun nonetheless. After the mini ice breaking games, the first thing that we did was doing the chicky dance. Haha ... it was really enjoyable! Then they refresh our memory with the mass dance as now, we really really need to know every single of the steps coz we gonna have to dance it in front of the international freshies students.

They say that the international freshies are mostly from our SEA countries and we may have problems interacting with them as most of them either have not that good knowledge of speaking english or how they speak may be a bit different from us as we have all the singlish added in. However, it is to be ok ... hmmm ... wonder whom i gonna get to be my mentee ... ahahz

Back to the day's event, after we practised on the mass dance and did the friendship dance, we had another ice breaking games to know one another. You know the usual like wacko all that ... yup yup. By the time it ended, it was time for lunch and i was half drained! BUT ... can't have any food or drinks though i was sooooo thirsty. If you still ask me why, i'll kill you! hahaha ... After everyone else had their lunch, it was back to the LT for they wanna explain some of the games that the freshies gonna play during their orientation. At first i thought it they would only explain it to us while we enjoy melting in our chair. HOWEVER, we had to go play 3 out of 10 of the station games! Arghhh ... so tired! But for the fun of it, why not? And so we played the games and by the end of it, i was so tired! And when i was cheering to myself that the day is gonna end as soon as we get back to the LT to get our bags BUT we had to practice some cheers! For goodness sake ... im so thirsty already and here they are wanting me to cheer and shout! Still, i did it and did had a wonderful time. And for the day, made a new fren. Her name's Alicia and she's also from HTM and she was in class 47 (if im not wrong) and she lives near my block. Heez. Oh and her birthday is after mine! LoL ... well, she fun to be with. Glad to meet her. =)

Anyway, gonna have some shut eyes now. Tomorrow gonna be a more tiring day as we had to try out 7 more station games ..... haiz .... so need to preserve a lot and lots of energy. Ahahz ... toodles

On friday, went to break fast with some of my secondary school frens. Been a while since i last saw them. But somehow, during the whole time there was somehow a "gap". There was a conflict between two of my frens. Really a very long story so i think i shd skip. Before meeting the rest, i met Nat earlier as we walk around CS and TM. We caught up with each others life and some of our other frens. Muni arrived at about 6pm and then met the guyz at the banquet at about 6.30. After we break fast, the guys wanted to go to geylang while Nat and Muni wanted to go to the beach. Me? Hate going geylang at night coz the bazaar will be soooo crowded and was not really interested to go to the beach. Felt that it was a waste of time and im sort of feeling that im gonna be sick. Which i did. The whole day yesterday, i had the flu and high fever. Although right now i may recover a bit, still my flu is here to stay. Hopefully i will fully recover by monday coz on that day i'll be having the mentor training. YuPyUp .. u read it right. I got in! heez .. Well, cant write anymore. Still feeling sick. Toodles

Had a surprised invitation from my dad side of the family for iftar. What's the surprise? Well, never heard from most of them for the past 7 years and suddenly ... 'pOoF' ... was really weird. All of us really do not wanna go but since they've invited, we juz have to. And as expected upon reaching there, we felt out of place. So very out of place. Like as though we were in an alienated world or something and we siblings were all sticking together like glue and didn't join any of our 'alien' cousins. Not that we doesn't want to but we do not know them well in the first place. How to start a conversation with them? Overall, the whole event was so awkward .... We were the last to arrive but the first to leave which im glad that we did .... Hmmm, still wondering why the sudden invite. They're nice ppl but then .... i dont know but we juz dont like them much. The only wonderful person from their family was .... my dad!

Well, forget about them and for the past week, been doing n'tin as per usual but been starting to read novels .... one after another. Im back to immerse myself in the world of fantasy where true love exists. It comes when u dont expect it to and it really do last forever. Wouldn't life be like in heaven when such things that happens in novels exist in the real world 'dReaMinG' ... just love reading ... really takes you out from reality to where dreams come true and from the moment you start reading, you just couldn't and wouldn't put the book down till the very end of it ... till where everyone lives happily ever after 'SigH' ... espacially those novel which invoves trillers+romance or advanture+romance. It's just so nice =)

And juz now got a call from di. She said that the mentor thingy person called her ... well, sms her and says that she's confirmed to be in the montor prog thingy and gave her the dates for the time for the training and the orientation. But i never got anything from them! They say that they'll confirm if we're in by last friday and till today, there's no news. Mayb i was right in the first place. Mayb Im not really cut out to be a mentor. Haiz ... anyway, will still be waiting though by the lastest this friday..... =I .... Toodles
