One can never appreciate punctuality untill you live in Swiss. No doubt that being the manufacturers of the famous Swatch watches that everything will happen right on the dot. The buses comes exactly that they're suppose to. Classes starts on time and even a min late means you're VERY LATE. *faints
However, it's a good habit to adopt even wen i return. hee~

Anyhoos, got my dissertation proposal back and sadly i didnt fare as well as i hope i will. *weeps .. and i got CAB as my tutor. im still deciding if it's a good or a bad thing. i juz hope that whatever the circumstances will be, i will score for this. Insyallah i will.

Woke up super early today for the breakfast duty. My duty finally starts this week. I juz wanna get it done and over with. And now, im super tired. My eyes are super heavy and i feel i wanna sleep and dissapear for a while untill im back to being Asy. Been a week plus since i last spoke to mum and been trying to call her for the past two days but she doesnt ans. haiz .. ohwells. i should learn how to live without my family close by 24/7.

okie back to work. marketing project due in 2 weeks time. *faints

After weeks and weeks of yes and no and alot of confusion, i finally moved to Hotel Pilatus in the village in the afternoon. And diba is my new roomie. As much funny crazy times i had with my old roomie, moving was wat i gota do despite the travelling time to school. The room is bigger now and i dont feel being stuck in school 24/7. And there's a bathroom (not just a toilet) in the room. However i will really miss the peepz there whom im close to. (will still get to see em' during classes, lunches and dinners. but it will be different). and no more late night supper at the villa nor the daily trips to the lake that i usually take. ohwells .. waha~

Tmr will be a busy day. Will be waking up early for part grocery shopping, den brunch in school den to bahnhof for necessity shopping den cooking dinner in Hotel Pilatus. hee~

Im sort of unpacked my stuff .. still needs to make the room homey and getting used to the idea of re-adjusting again. but so far im loving it. hee~

and i juz got back. haha

went for a midnight snack with diba and danial at the villa. and it's freezing cold out there! but the night was beautiful. It wasnt as dark as i had expected. The full moon was shining so brightly as if it was a spotlight guiding us the way and the stars was oh so alot. if only i could catch the entire scenery in a camera. it will be picture perfect.

It was also for me to take a break from writing up my proposal. I was so frustrated coz i cldnt get the stuff i needed to write for my background. And actually before diba asked me along, i was thinking of taking a walk myself. haha~

so now back to proposal-ing before catching up with my beauty sleep.

It's a beautiful, sunny sunday afternoon and here i am stuck in the library trying my hardest to finish writing my dissertation proposal. No more procastinating coz i've been doing so the past two days. And with the deadline coming in the about 4 days i am more or less dead. waha~

If anyone is wondering (which i doubt) my dissertation topic will be on arts tourism (no surprise there huh). More precisely the topic will be Branding Singapore as an arts hub of SEA. and the best part of doing such topic here is there is no info on arts in Singapore here nor any books on arts tourism. aRgHhh .. im so gona ask Mr Caldwell to buy this book that i found online ...

And yest, ard 3.30pm, went to the lake by myself. I neeeded to get out for a walk. It was okie that no one wanted to go coz it gav me a me moment to myself. And at night, crazy me and diba decided to go to the villa (a distance away from sch) to do our laundry. waha~ we do hav laundry facilties in campus itself but i think we were too bored staying at our rooms too much .. haa~

Woke i should stop blogging and start dissertating ..

After friday's last lesson, my brain juice finally dried up. I was mentally exhausted that im determined not to touch any of my school work for the rest of the day. And so, me, brainy, julz, diba and kx decided to go down to luzern bahnhof (city center). Met damian and gordon whose goin the same way and so 7 of us went ard town to window shop. It was a breath of fresh air to finally get out of school. Living in school juz kills the life outta me. haa~ thank god im moving to Hotel Pilatus in the village soon. Will update on this.

Anyhoos, walking ard Luzern juz gives me this sense of peace somehow by being able to see the beautiful structures and landscapes of mountains. I juz love looking at nature and marvel at god's creation. Anyhoos, as much as it have been challenging in one way or another but im thankful for each day that im blessed with.

If you're wondering why this sudden post of reflecting, today will be 10th muharram on the Islamic calender. Or the day better known as Hari Asyurah (Asyurah Day). Yup im born on this day and hence my name. This day is one of the most important and special day for Islam with alot of great historical events happenings.

It's just week 2 of school and everyone's already feeling the pressure! haix .. Other than trying to confirm on the topic for our dissertation with established the aim, objectives, hypothesis and everything that needs to be handed in for the proposal, there's the case studies plus all the reading for int'l mkting plus the news reporting plus the hotel research-ing .. aRghHh .. this is juz the beginning and i feel as if i've run half the race full speed ..

As much i know what i wana do for my dissertation, im still lost. *weeps

i've been missing home. i've never been far away from home for so long. There's always the comfort of hanging out with my siblings esp my elder sis for juz dinner or a movie. i miss the luxury to juz hang out till late at night and still go home safe and in the comfort of your love ones. i miss waking up and see my mum's presence and be able to talk to her about almost anything. I even misses the time i fight with my youngest siblings. And there's always mum around for me to tell her how i am feeling. For now and most of the time i have to play pretend. As much as it's a practice for the service industry but i'll be great to have someone you can let your secrets out to. You cant imagine the skeletons i have hidding in my cupboard. No not the kind of dark secrets that will hunt and kill you down but it's just burdens that i wish to share. Ohwells ... i'll leave the cupboard lock and safely hidden for now i guess. lets play pretend! hahaha~

Right now im procastinating myself from reading the int'l marketing textbook .. some one read for me and juz tell me the facts i need to know! plsss .. hahaha ..

I know this should be a post with pictures i promised to show. However, i've yet to collate everything from everyone and organising it before i could post a complete set of everything. haa~ so enjoy the continuation of my story on life in Luzern for now. *grins

School had finally started. Business suit everyday but im getting used to it. Even the heels that i gota wear too. waha. Monday was an induction to most lecturers and the sch's rules and regulation. After everything plus ID making and sch book collection we (me, brainy, julz, diba, mich, gordon, damian and kx) planned to head down to lake luzern which is juz behind our school since we ended early. Fun fun fun!!

Classes offically started the next day. 4hrs of Applied Research plus thinking of our dissertation topic. I can gladly say i've tout of mine. Hopefully it'll turn out great. wee~ Since classes ended by 12pm, after lunch me, audrey, julz, mich and diba headed out to Pilatus Mart for some grocery shopping. After hanging out there for a while, we concluded to walk to the village instead and head out to Denner to get em'. Bumped into Stanley and Jo who brought us to where we wana go and once again dropped by Hotel Pilatus. I totally love that place lahh .. If got room i dont mind moving. hmmm .. but it's more convenient staying in sch's campus! ArGhHh .. the dilemma! oHwellS ..

And today, after dinner went for yoga. waha~ Since i think i dont exercise that much, yoga is the best alternative. And i must say not onli it was fun but i had the workout i need .. more than i need! hahaha .. i can feel my muscles trembling in slight pain. (and i still cant balance on one feet! aRgh) The teacher is so strong lahhh .. she can actually balance her body just from the strength of her arms! *faints .. anyhoos, as tiring as it is, i enjoyed the short 2hrs session.

Busy days, weeks and months up ahead. Will try to post pictures soon. hee~

Should have posted this a few days ago. But it had reali been a busy 3 days since i arrived. Anyhoos, prepare for a very long post below. Pictures will be posted up in the next post. Enjoy! haa~

Was reali touched for all who came to sent me off. Surprisingly, some of my relatives from dad side came. Been years since i last saw them. Anyhoos, it was espacially nice for nad z, khai, ain, rad and sue to come down too!!HUGZ
Since my flight was delayed an hour, by 12midnight, most of them had to go off. My family stayed till it was time to go into transit. And wen i started hugging mum and my siblings, i was holding back my tears and trying not to let my voice shake. In the transit area, me, audrey, julz and diba started to tear. It was already the day to leave them for a year. *weeps

I finally reach Swiss safe and on time. Touched down around 7.45am swiss time (spore is 7 hrs ahead). Prepared myself for the upcoming cold weather (-3degrees) that im gona face but surprisingly, the first blast of cold air on my face was refreshing. And i was amazed to see my breath as i breath out. hahaha. Anyhoos, my trip on board the 12.5hrs flight was tiring. very tiring. At one point of time couldnt feel my legs! but the two strangers beside me was nice. DId chatted with them abit. =) At the airport, an IMI bus was waiting for us to bring us to school. The 1hr journey on the road was b-e-a-utiful. The scenery, the calmness of it all awed me. By the time we reached school it seems as though the tempreture got colder.

After checking-in, sort of rested and sort of packing, had our orientation that even bought us to luzern city centre. By the way, my room is quite small. still it's cozy. And my roomie is a hongkie. yup she's nice. thank god. haa~ Anyway, at luzern city centre, we decided to explore the area by ourselves and we ended up in the Old Town and shopping for groceries at Migros (pronounced as Mee Gro). Everything was superbly scenic and wonderful. Feels as if im in the middle ages. The only thing missing are princesses, princes and knights on horses. hahaha.


After alot of walking around, headed back to the 'interchange' to catch the 5.45pm bus home. By that time it was already dark as if it's 9pm! Speaking of the buses, it is always on time. Even if you're late for 1sec, you gota wait for the next bus which is usually 1/2hr (15min during peak hour)!

The next day, most of my classmates decided to go to zurich. And so, went along coz it's better to travel in big groups. The train ride was an hour but the train was oh so comfy (since we paid alot for it.. haha) Arriving there we split into smaller group and as usual i went along with brainy, julz and diba. The shops there reali sell very very very nice clothes and the prices are not bad! as usual, i got hungry again (im eating so much now!!) so we stopped at a cafe cum restaurant cum bar to get sandwitches and hot choco. There we met a msian guy who works there. We made frens with him and he says if we drop by zurich again, he'll bring us around (he says there's alot of sporean living in swiss!!) After alotalotalot of walking and browsing, met up with the big group around 5pm. As usual, it was already dark and the weather was getting colder. Since we couldnt make it on time for dinner in school, some of them stayed in luzern to eat while me, brainy, angie and mich we went the a place nearby sch (which we call the 1,2,3 shops) for dinner and to check out things there. And the quich there is super super big!!! for CHF5+ it was worth it as it also comes along with a serving of salad. yumyum.

And yesterday, since it was saturday and all shops tend to close at 12pm, me, brainy and jul woke up early and meet at 8.30am to head down to luzern city center by ourselves. We're getting used to walking around there i guess. But wen we wanted to head back to sch in time for brunch, we missed the bus at 11am by 1 sec!! and it left without us. *weep .. so we had to wait for another 1/2hr!! *lesson learnt the hard way .. haha. Luckily i had prezels if not i be super hungry!
On the way back, met some classmates who lived in the village. So me and julz decided to follow them to see their crib. And we were extremely impressed!! Mayb me, julz and brainy will move there if there is any available room. hee~

And today, sunday, everywhere is closed!! (there reali isnt any life here!!) so mayb later going to the lake and prepare all my sch stuff for tmr. So far im adjusting well to the place. Except sometimes the cold is too cold!! I have dry skin, chapped lips and my fingers and toes are always frozen!! Nonetheless, i prefer the weather here than always sweating in spore! waha~

Welcome 2008!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

A new chapter will soon unfolds for me as this year starts crawling in.

Unlike last year where i was stuck at Marina Bay, decided to stay home on new year's eve and countdown to the end of 2007 with my family.

Will be going to a family gathering later. So shall update more tonight.
