Fasnacht started on thursday and it's the day when the swiss ppl will go crazy. It will go on for a few days and more or less it's like haloween. hee~ everyone (young and old) will dressed up in crazy costumes and bands will play non stop and ppl will dance in the streets, drink, eat and be merry. On that thursday, the festival supposedly to start at 4am but we were awaken at 7am wen there were fireworks suddenly 'exploded' just outside our window followed by bands started banging on drums and blowing their trumpets. haha~ to think i only slept at 2am.

That same day, we (me, audrey, julz, kx, patrick and norman) headed out to bahnhof to expose ourself to the fasnacht atmosphere. All shops were closed and the streets were filled with alot of confetti that you cant even see the road or pathway. And yes i got 'attacked' by paper confetti while walking. Suddenly someone tapped me from the back and as i turned, he threw a handful of confetti at my face. I was shocked but ignored it coz that was suppose to happen. hahaha. Had McD for dinner (it's so ex lahhhh) but the fries as agreed by all who tried said it was much much yummy-ier. lolz

The next day was a busybusybusy day. After class, rushed to see Mr Currie coz he's helping us book the train tix and hotel room for us. SOOOO it's official. IM GOING TO PARIS!!! weee~ and after all that, went to the dining hall coz we, the events team have to set up for the fasnacht celebration thats coming to school in the evening. Took about 3hrs to put up all the deco, re-arrange the tables and chairs and all that other stuff and then rushed back to Hotel Pilatus and changed. I didnt kno most of our schmates gona be wearing cool, crazy, fun costumes. so the best i could do was dress in bright yellow shirt and tie a scarf on my head. Wen dinner starts and soon the 10 or was it 12 piece band came, the whole dining area became chaotic in a fun way with ppl clapping to the tempo and dance to the music incld me. haha. Had super lots of fun.

Then today .... it snowed!!! for the first time after waiting patiently for it. My roomie diba suddenly woke me up at 7am coz she saw everything outside was covered with snow. so on our way to sch for brunch took alotalot of pics!! hee~ we were very 'jakun' lahhh .. hahaha. after brunch, it started to rain snow again. so me, audrey, diba and julz decided to take a walk to the lake but halfway down, we stopped to the middle of snow covered field and started to make mini snowman!! hee~ but instead of walking to the lake soon after that, we turned back to sch coz there was a toilet emergency. While waiting, we had a snowball fight with some guys who were there and ended up continuing the 'fight' instead of going to where we planned to. hahaha~

Just this week itself, i truly enjoyed myself lots!! hostel life far away from home isnt that bad after all. but im still looking forward to paris ... here i come!!
