It's already the third day of hari raya. Somehow, ever since 7 years ago, i felt that during the month of shawal there's nothing really to celebrate about. Only that it is to celebrate the victory of being able to complete a whole month of fasting during the month of Ramadan and that Hari Raya is the time for you ask for forgiveness .... blah blah blah. Maybe it's just me. My problematic attitude. I dont know. There's just this feeling of being lost and empty inside. Though i may look happy and cheerful when out to celebrate Hari Raya but then this other feeling just comes to stay. Not that i never tried. I'm too exhausted of trying so hard. Sometimes when i heard people saying how great their family are preparing for this festive season to come during malam Raya, i really do wonder how they do it. My family may be big but it's somehow small. Really very small. Maybe the happiness and the joyfulness and greatness of Syawal went off together with dad and there's no way that i could reclaim it back. =( Anyway, wont concentrate on such stuff. May Allah shines light and help guide me in every step of the way. Amin
First day of Hari Raya : We set off as soon as we finish our asar prayers. My 3rd bro didn't follow us since it was his second day of work. Went to Nenek Besar house first and met a cute little girl, 3 yrs old, by the name of Asyurah. Hahaha ... She was really very adorable ... Just like me 'gRinS' Then after that went to Tok Ngah house followed by his daughter's house and his another son's house. We intended to go to 2 more houses nearby Bedok but no one was home. The sad thing was, we were not able to eat any ketupat. Usually we always eat ketupat on the first day of raya at the first house we go to which is my grandma's. But she and my grandfather went of to Mecca and will only return on the 16th! We reach home about 12+am
the lil girl whose name is also Asyurah. Looks like me huh .. ahahz
Second day : This time we set off earlier - after our Zuhur prayers. Again my 3rd bro didn't follow and now my elder sis also because she wasn't feeling well. Maybe due to too much gassy drinks. Heez. Our first house was in MacPherson and so we continued on our house visiting all around there. Still, no ketupat to eat. BooHoo ... Reach home about 11+pm.
Third day (today) : My granny and grandpa will be coming home from Mecca today. YaY!!! At first though of fetching them from the airport but then, i accidentally woke up late so by the time we were ready, my grandparents were already at the arrival hall. So i change to my baju kurung to go house visiting to my grandparents which is also my aunt's house. There, we get to eat ketupat. YumYum. I just love all the gravy that comes with eating ketupat. The rendang and everything. Espacially if it's cooked by my grandma and aunt. Hehe. But we didn't stay too long. After zuhur, we headed back as my mum had to go out and me, i need sleep. haha. So for the rest of the afternoon, slept all the way and didn't manage to clean the house. Will do it tomorrow. AHAHZ.
Well, that's a short summary of my Hari Raya visiting. My family and my eldest aunt family will be renting a van for this coming Saturday and Sunday to go for more house visiting. YaY ... more money gonna roll in ... finally. HAHAHAHA
Oh ya ... u shd know the channel 8 weekday 9pm show - the Champion. Hopefully Kaiwei will pick JingWen .... hahaha =) and may Olinda and Taufiq be in the final two of SI .... Toodles
